This movie shows the evolution of the elemental abundances as a function of nuclear charge during the tau=0.03 second expansion. The corresponding NSE and QSE abundances are shown for comparison. The network abundances match well the QSE abundances down to T₉ of about 2.5 when the slowing rate of proton capture prevents the network from keeping pace with the QSE. To see the movie, click here .
