The Help System: APL Online provides comprehensive on-line help. Click on the Help item on the Menu at any time (or on the Help button when the Search dialog box is being displayed). Help for the Guidon interface system and APL Online itself are both available. Topics can be selected from the list that appears when Help is invoked. Getting Started: The demonstration database contains only seven articles, so the easiest wasy to perform a simple search to display the titles and authors of the seven articles. After dismissing the OCLC EJO Terms and Conditions box (by clicking the Agree button) and APL Online logo screen, click on the Contents button of the Search dialog box, select the All Items option, and click on OK. The search will retrieve a results list that should contain all seven articles. Any one of the individual articles can be displayed, by selecting it (click anywhere within the title/author display for the article you wish to display) and clicking the Display button. Need More Help: If you have questions about APL Online, or installing the demo disk, feel free to contact AIP via e-mail at aplonline@aip.org or call 1-800-344-6902.
